SKY WATCH FRIDAY POSTING TODAY!!! This is a dark sunset before a storm came in that night. I was driving along the coast and pulled over to snap a few shots of this from a little local view point in my city.

Sky Watch is a wonderful meme that was started by Dot I think, what a great idea Dot had. It has become a very big success. I was just starting doing memes back then when Dot needed help and when Tom took it over. Sadly Tom has retired from Blogging now but at the new Sky Watch site there are nice helpful people like Klaus, Ivar, Sandy, Fishing Guy and Wren. Check out Sky Watch Friday. Today they have a new helper Louise and DewDrops gives wonderful info on skies and clouds so you can learn a lot there. I hope I got some of the history and info correct but someone will always help me out. This is a test post to see if my pictures work as Blogger still does not resize and I just make up my own wacky html now.

The darkening sky and water are beautiful offset by the yellows and oranges of the sunset, especially in that first photo.

Indeed, great shots. I like the first one the best. Fantastic. I had the opportunity this past July to spend a week in Oregon, specifically central Oregon in the city of Waldport. The area was amazing. I can only imagine what Vancouver Island must be like... I am glad I found your blog! The Owls are magnificent.
