A Point in Time

This post is for Sky Watch the best place to go and see the sky. Please have a look at the other photos there.

Returning to my series on Moses Point. Moses Point is a tiny, hidden beach near Sidney. One of those secret hideaways you go to for years and years that always seems to be unchanged and unknown by most of the people that live nearby. A lonely lookout that offers peace and solitude to the soul. A place to go and sit for a while. A place that is timeless and lost in time.

what are you using to resize?

Island Rambles Blog said...

Thanks for the lovely comments and so fast you all were also!!

Hi Sue: I am on Vancouver Island, British Columbia in Canada...thanks for the visit.

Hi Pete: (This is to do with my help question on resizing photos) I am using the uploader on Photobucket to resize my photos as I upload them in there. It seems to want to make all my photos blurry...and my eyes are blurry enough!!! Not sure what to do as I can't sharpen them the way I want once they are uploaded?????? What do all the rest of the bloggers do to resize their photos to go in their blogs?????????

I would love to sit and watch the water and the boat heading out. I really love your header photo.

That sounds and looks like somewhere I'd love. Beautiful shot.

Would love to hear more about how others are resizing their photos too.

I haven't tried it yet but I asked someone else the same question. She uploads to flickr and then connects the url to her blog and the pictures come out large and beautiful. I just haven't had time to try it yet.

I love your Sky Watch picture. Just beautiful!

Everything seems to be pointing towards the boat. Clouds, scenery, water. Great shot.

All vantage lines point to that boat! Great capture.

A well composed image of earth, water and sky!
Beautiful!

I change the HTML code in Blogger to make my images bigger.

Thank for all the wonderful comments...really appreciated!!

Hi Mountain Mamma: thanks for the tip and I will check that out.

Hi Carletta: I think I will go back to changing the HTML and posting that way....but the picture will still be blurry from the resizer in Photobucket as my originals are too large to upload without a resize.

Pete said...

right well I resize them using paint (freebie microsoft that comes with your PC in accessories).

I just select the photo click image then stretch/skew and then click a % (keeping both the same) to its a size I want to upload.

Thanks for all the comments ...really makes it more fun for me...

Pete: thanks so much ....I have paint and never thought of using it..I will give it a try with one of my next blogs....really appreciate that you came back to help me Pete.

Oh, that is my kind of place! It offers all I crave, beauty coupled with a lack happy holiday makers. I prefer nature undisturbed, promise not to step on your toes when I visit.

That could be just around here - lovely! Just the kind of photo I like.

PS I think I know the answer to the question below your header - if you still need some help give me a comment and I'll see what I can do later on.

Seems as a great place to be. I've always found myself looking for water when I need to reload my "batteries". Very nice photo. =)
