Sidney Spit for That's My World

This post is for That's my World, check it out to see the great photos from around the blogging globe.

The beach here goes on forever. It is Sidney Spit and is accessible only by boat or the little ferry. It is always hot and sunny there when we go. If the tide is out you can wade in the warm pools and count sea shells. It is good for birding with many shorebirds and the purple martins. It has a variety of ecosystems, from the lush meadows to the white sandy shoreline. A tiny bit of paradise waiting for you always.
Don't forget to click over to see That's my World.

This is the view from the dock.

The name Sidney Spit is interesting. Is there a story behind it? I would love to wade in. And it's been ages since I felt seashells in my hands. Thank you for visiting and commenting on my entry. I look forward to visiting yours again next week.

I love all the blues. There is a man-made spit into Lake Ontario in Toronto, Canada that is an interesting place to explore too.
