The Spring Tulips at Butchart Gardens for Today's Flowers.
In May the bulbs are ready at the Butchart Gardens. The gardeners have planted over 100,000 tulip bulbs of every size, shape and color. When the bulbs are finished they have to be deadheaded and then dug up and stored for the next year. It was a cold winter this year with some snow so the bulbs were a bit late. There are hundreds of thousands of bulbs along with many shrubs and trees all with their spring flowers and scents. The gardens were started around 1904 by the Butchart family who were pioneers developing Portland Cement. I have to admire a family who have continued to preserve their garden and offer it for the world to see through many generations even in tough economic times. The gardens can just dazzle your eyes with wandering paths streaming like rivers through a wild fantasy of colors. When you leave you wonder if it was real.

Tulips are always lovely to look and these ones have petals that look so delicate like a paper. Beautiful color too.
I've seen some photos from that garden. It looks like a beautiful place.
I remember longing for spring to get here, and now, I'm wondering where it went.
Thanks for your comment on my blog.
Hello, first of all I would like to thank you for visiting my blog about my dog. I viewed all your photos and I swear it's really nice. Hope you come and visit my blogs again.
Thanks
One question...how will I follow your blogs? I cant find it LOL
AL
Beautiful tulips! They are always strong flowers. I have the same kind of tulips and they in bloom for days at the end of March, beginning of April. I just leave them in the garden and the following year they will be back.
You asked about resizing your photos. Well I down loaded Picasa, and stored all my photos in the Picasa maps. I take the photos I need and blog them. The instructions are easy. They take the right size immediately. You can also crop photos or change the colours. When you have blogged them you can see a larger version of them by clicking on them.
I hope this is what you are looking for. Good luck!

I went to Butchart Gardens many years ago to wander through and have dinner there. We stayed for the evening lights as well. It is an awesome place to go to!!

Don't worry about the blog crash it is only temporary. Just let the computer settle down. Turn it off and reboot. Some computer crashes are due to spammers activity that we do not know are working within our hardware without our knowledge.
Your picture is looking good! Very pretty Tulips.
Dreamy and beautiful.
Wow ! What wonderful gorgeous red tulips. Tulips are uncommon in India - the only Tulips grown here are in the Rashtrapati Bhavan (or the Presidential Palace designed & constructed by Le Corbusier during the days of the British Raj) in New Delhi. They are on view for a very short period every year when the doors of the Palace Gardens are thrown open to the public during winter.
ooooo aaaaahhhhhh
Beautiful shot. So many Tulips in one place.
Such wonderful & colorful tulips! And a lovely scenery! It must be the island of the heaven on earth :)

I'm sorry I haven't been here in such a long time. I barely post to my blog anymore and don't visit blogs anymore because my time just isn't my own. Coming here today reminds me of the special things I'm missing. Your photography is exquisite and I'm missing out on so much!! Hopefully, things will improve in the next year. We'll see.
Take care of yourself, keep in touch when you can, and I'll see you when I can. xoxo
