This post is for
Camera Critters ...please check out the other wonderful critter photos to see there.
Suzy the Tiger has been living in the Highlands. Isn't she the most beautiful thing you ever saw!! She came from a wildlife park in Lake Cowichan and they had received her from members of the Vancouver movie industry. Some of the local citizens felt it was unsafe to have Suzy nearby and efforts were made to have her removed even though she is in a large safe compound and is extremely well cared for.... I am not sure what the outcome will be for Suzy but whatever it is, I truly hope this amazing creature will be loved and cared for and that a home will be found for her that will offer her some kind of life suitable to such a wondrous animal. I am sure she is safe where she is but it is just so difficult for me to rationalize and witness animals not in their natural setting but in a setting that we think natural.

I have just dipped in and looked at a few pages. Wonderfully evocative blog; I love islands, I shall return here! I presume you in North America, judging from some of your bird pictures I have seen?
Yes Maalie, I am on Vancouver Island in British Columbia, Canada and I forget to put it on when I should! I am so happy you came to my blog as I love your pictures and find your blog very amusing too.
Hi there..beautiful header..I like how it draws you into the center. Is that the type of lense too? What a cute puddy tat! I hear you..you want them to do well and preferably in there own environment. Thanks for stopping by & have a great weekend-
Wow! That's a new perspective on tigers for me - such deep eyes! I suppose there will always be conflict between wild animals and people - in Scotland they have reintroduced sea eagles into the North but the farmers often try to kill the birds, as they prey on their lambs :(
Susie is a very beautiful creature! I love cats, big ones and small ones, so I hope she will have a great life. Thanks for visiting. Have a great weekend!
Suzy is beautiful! I sure hope that whatever the future holds for this wonderful creature is a good one, she deserves the best.
I always feel squeamish about zoos and have never visited one in my life. I love nature but I understand that some animals do need to be protected for certain reasons... I really think your blog is outstanding!
When I can, I would love to find much more time to browse here...
Island--sorry to hear that you had a health related break, BUT so glad you are back.
I do love tigers--the world NEEDS tigers. Why wouldn't anyone want a Suzy living nearby. I certainly would.
Long live the tiger....! Your pictures are superb. Hope to visit again soon.
Thanks for visiting my blog.
Okay Madam, I'm not a professional photographer but I think I can help you adjust with your photographic posting. So far, I have not seen any problem with your photos because they are very clear and big.
The only reason why in some blogs pictures appear smaller because of the size of the template a blogger used. Though sometimes, I do make adjustments with my pictures too.
Please check me out in my Random Dreaming. I'll post a little note there how I do things you asked with mine.
I better post it there so that I'll be the only one answerable incase it will not appear right. But we can learn through trial and error, don't we? Exploration, Experimentation, with a bit of Adventure, right?
Let's do it!
what a wonderful photo! I agree, what WE concider natural, and what the animal is used to maybe very different things.
I agree with maalie 100%
Hi. Thank you for visiting & commenting on my blog.I am looking forward to dipping through yours - beautiful photos from what I have seen so far! S
She is beautiful! I am reading The Life of Pi right now, in which the author suggests animals in appropriate enclosures are actually very contented creatures having everything they need inside their defined "territory." Interesting as I had never thought of it that way before.
As far as blog photos go, I resize all mine in irfanview before uploading to flickr. That way the photo is already the size I want for my blog. I just have to copy the URL for the picture then and paste it into my blog post.
Hello Suzy! Ain't you cute?
Okay, I have just posted a blog about resizing pictures for the blog. Hope it helps. But there are better people who can help you more than myself. Lots of helpful people in the blogworld.
For Island Rambles
I hope you'll give it a peek. Good luck.
What a magnificent creature. How did she land up in Vancouver? Has the looks of a Royal Bengal Tiger. Great Picture.
Very fine blog and pictures! I'll come back and visit again!

She really is beautiful. I hope things work out well for her.
wow this cousin is fabulous! :)
Great pictures, thanks for sharing,

Suzy is a beautiful animal. The subject of whether human should move animals out of their natural settings is a difficult one. There's so much to consider!
thanks!! :o)
Such a typically pussycat pose, and from a tiger!! Just so hard to believe that anyone would be afraid of her, when she is in a safe enclosure!!
What a wonderful cat! I hope she finds a good place to stay!
Thanks again for your support in the blogging community.
She's so pretty!
I just love her eyes. I hope everything turns out ok for her.
