Isolation

My theme is isolation today.  Hawks seem to live isolated lives.
We are at the letter "i" in the ABC meme this week. This hawk was out at Island View.

These are Immature eagles.  They live Isolated lives for while until they find a mate. The shot above was Impossible to get because of all the branches.  Taken out at Goldstream a short time ago, when the salmon spawned. The hawk and eagles are for Wild Bird Wednesday and The Bird D'pot.

Black and White Wednesday taken out at Aylard Farm a few days ago.

This is a very isolated beach, called Sombrio Beach.  Taken a few weeks ago.  There were a lot of surfers enjoying the big surf. These are for Water World and Our World Tuesday.

This is an immense cruise ship in the harbour.

For Good Fences here are two fences.  Both taken out at Moses Point looking each way.

This is an Arbutus tree leaning over me at Witty's Lagoon.  It is for Ruby Tuesday.

I put in my photos and memes for the week as I have problems
with my eyes if on the computer too long.
It has been a week of losses.  I lost two of my blogging sisters.
It also has been a week of adding some new followers to
my blog family list!  Happy to have new followers! Thank you so much for following my blog.

Thank you to these meme hosts for allowing bloggers to share their story.  Click on these links to find great blogs and photos.

    1. Thanks so much for your comment Fun60! The beach is quite far away and hard to get to and they need to fix the road. But it is a great surfing beach.

It is going to take me a while to reply to so many wonderful comments which I appreciate very much. I will slowly make my way to your blogs as soon as I can.

    1. Thanks Lea, I am not sure what kind of hawk it is, not a good birder I guess. Could be a red tail perhaps. I am a beach bum.

  6. First, sorry about your loss of blogging 'sisters'. And 2nd....I love the fact you used isolation/isolated for the birds of prey...perfect interpretation. AND on top of that beautiful birds!! Then, third --- gorgeous skies!!!

Thanks, Nora, for sharing this link and adding to the link list at I'd Rather B Birdin'.

    1. Hi hootinAnni, thanks so much for doing your birdie linky. I realize now that many of my comments are from long time blogging friends, from a really long time of blogs and linkys. It is a strange blogging world that we all share, can anyone explain it.

  7. Beautiful series of photos. I think you got some great ones of the hawk even though it was difficult to get the right angle. The scenic scenes are stunning. Have a great week.

    1. Thanks Joyful. The hawk shot: We were driving and I saw him on the wire. He did not want to fly away. He just sat on the wire. I could stand under him. He was looking at a farmer's field.

    1. I have a love/hate relationship with hawks. Love hawks far away. Not so much liking them in my yard near my feeders. They seem to think I am providing lunch.

  19. I love Arbutus trees. Two years ago we had a terrible virus or fungus problem and many trees died or were damaged. This year the survivors (and there were many) look so healthy and red. That makes me happy. - Margy

  20. That is interesting because this year some of the trees did not produce berries for the birds, like the waxwings. I think they look healthy but no berries, so no birds during the winter on them.

  31. Hi Nora. I wouldn't normally think of 'isolation' in conjunction with beauty -- but all of your pictures illustrating the world are beautiful and make me think it might not be a bad thing after all. Thank you.

    1. Hi Darla, may I tell you about the followers gadget on your sidebar. It is also called Google Friends Connect, that is the old name. Many bloggers are not aware they can also just follow blogs by adding the link to their readers list which is on all of our dashboards under our blogs and on the left side. Easy to add a blog there or to use followers. I hope you do not mind me telling you this.
