Today the poem is about the Cariboo
As a young girl I went to the Cariboo, my heart stopped.....
dusty minds drunkards eyes
big diesel trucks go lumbering by
thousands of soft brown horses eyes
dishwasher in an all night cafe
varicose veins wrapped around her legs
a pain in my heart like a fist .......
an open wound splashes
copper upon the snowy
a bowing tree curtsying
in white n' calico skirts
standing there alone at night
lake of the knife
your ghost still sits
© written by Nora Flower as a young teen. This was written when I went as a teen to the Cariboo. Later I worked in a restaurant around there. The lake of the knife is actually Lac la Hache or lake of the Axe. It is named for a voyageur who lost his Axe head in the lake when trying to chop a hole in the ice. It was part of the gold rush trail.
I had a pain in my heart there as a young girl and my heart stopped. I was hitch-hiking with my sister, Sonja, to a farm and I passed out into another alternate reality and had a near death experience that was really wonderful. I woke up in the hospital. Everyone thought it would be Sonja, as she had a bad heart and has long ago passed over. I am still here.
I was given a lot of messages on the other side but I begged not to return to earth as my body was so cold and my heart hurt. I was pushed back into the cold body. They pushed really hard and I fought really hard to stay there on the other side. There was only telepathic speaking but all the answers were explained in the "all knowing place" and it was so warm and wonderful. I was given so much information but really love is the answer.
I was to have many more near death experiences later in my life as I was so young at that time.
