Have a Wonderful Weekend!

Hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend! I have so many new pictures I do not know where to start....

The Rhododendrons are all out in the parks....some pink for Pink Saturday and flowers for Floral Friday.

Below is someones house that they decorate with tulips each year.

Another picture of Playfair Park which is so full of camus thanks to the wonderful volunteers there who do all this work to remove the grasses and weeds and it is the most excellent place to see fields of camus.

My lilac has stars on it!

The osprey are mating and here is a picture for Black and White Weekend.

Also there is this little Red-tailed hawk who I see in Sidney every day.

I always wonder if he is Spunky the hawk who was raised by eagles.

For Sky Watch here is a little Yellow-rumped warbler with the always present branch in front of him.

For Weekend Reflections a shorebird below and the Cinnamon Teal also.

Today we found a little mink fishing in the water for Saturday's Critters.

Some birds for Anni at the Bird D'Pot.

The Quail and the Red-winged Blackbird that I forgot last week also. And my work is done! Thanks so much for continuing to read my little blog. I am so happy to have made friends with many kind people at Island Rambles Facebook also! I really enjoy knowing my readers and it has been a privilege to get to see your lives. 7. What an interesting collection of photos! The house with the tulips is incredible -imagine planting all those tulips probably every year to guarantee a good show. The Cinnamon Teal certainly stand out next to the more neutral-coloured Mallards. The little mink looks like a well-loved dog toy, all spiky and rough. The stylish quail would fit right in at Ascot or a royal wedding. Happy photos of the flowers, too.

  10. I share your sentiments about blogging. It has brought a whole new dimension to my life which was totally unexpected. I am only sorry we live thousands of miles apart and it is unlikely our paths will cross other than in the world of blogging. Your post this week is very upbeat. Wonderful explosion of colour. Those tulips are quite amazing.

  12. Oh, Nora, I hope that really is Spunky! I'm sure every British Columbian (and I'm still one at heart) is hoping that he is still alive. What a thrill to have seen his growth in the eagles' nest!
Your flower photos are exquisite and too numerous for me to catalogue, so I'm for the birds...I love to watch osprey in the sky high above, the way they capture the thermals to lift them up for a better view of prey (vermin, I hope) down below!
I haven't heard or seen anything on the news about flooding on The Island. I hope you haven't had any. We're planning a trip from southeastern Alberta to the coast next month and I'm trying to keep an eye on the floodwaters, as there are really only two routes from here to there, both affected by melting of the heavy snowcap.
Thanks for sharing the beauty of Vancouver Island!
