Umbrellas in the Rain

Rain Featuring Umbrellas: We finally have some rain!  I am happy to see the rain because.....
we need the rain for our gardens and to keep fire hazards low.  We decided to go to Butchart Gardens today.  Even in the rain it is so beautiful.  I am featuring umbrellas in almost all the photos as we are at the letter "U" for ABC Wednesday.  You can see my umbrella at the top of some of the photos also.  That line at the top of this photo below is part of the clear umbrella they give you at Butchart Gardens.

    1. Hi Tony, Cowbirds are funny kind of birds. The female has figured out a way where she does not do any of the chick rearing, she is kind of a lazy or very smart mom. They put their egg in another birds nest and let the other bird, some other species, raise it up. The new chick hatches and is quite large so it sometimes kicks out the other chicks. I should look this up but I think some of this is correct.

  27. Hello Nora, I am finally finding time to comment on more of my Blue Monday friends. We have been traveling and are in Houston, Texas where flooding from too much rain is a problem. We need to send more rain your way from Texas. Smile.

Your photos are all beautiful and I have to say the hummingbird pics are my favorites. The Butchart Gardens Umbrella photo is beautiful and I would love to be there one day. You never know.

Thank you for your sweet comment.
