Today the poem is Spring.
I am looking forward to Spring and all the flowers.
Spring
out
out of the ground at last
spring
after the rain
sun streaked sky
smile
a flower is me
a robin in me
oh fat robin red breast
fuzzy white tummy
i love you
tiny leaves tiny petals bursting out
of earth thick dark rich soil shade
of trees new mown lawn green gold
blue orange sky night spring day
all along sidewalks violets bloom mauve
shadows of hurry home passers by
standing in my eyes new born soul
a child in the garden alone and free .....
there are things
that are special
to me
they are there
not to be understood
but just to be there
without question
a sleeping child
a stretching cat
a dreaming dog
a patch of sunlight
a falling leaf
a dewy bud
spring rain.

HAVE A GREAT WEEK!
Pleasant to be thinking of Spring at the winter solstice, though I suppose that the idea of "turning the corner" has always been there. Your words and pictures have transported me into mid May.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much John! I love reading your blog also and get transported to another country and another world. I wish it was spring.
