I Am Still Here!

Yup!  Still Here! Yay! I am celebrating still being here. So here are some photos for the week and for the letter "s" at the ABC Linky. Above is the Lazuli Bunting. He has beautiful colors.

 A little mink!

Western Wood Peewee
 Pectoral Sandpiper
Shorebirds Caspian Terns

I went to the Doctor and I am from outer Space. (letter "S")
My normal is not the normal for anyone on this planet. Although I may feel normal sometimes most of the time I don't. I knew I was unusual and from some burnt out star far away in the galaxy.

My hawk that I always wonder who he is.

So I am still here for a while to post as many pictures as I possibly can before I return to my universe wherever that is in the cosmos. I am learning so much about humanity, some good and some not so wonderful. But I am here! I share this experience with you all at this time in history we walk together on this earth. We are time travellers moving through time together with shared history. I am so glad I got to see the beauty here and to meet you all. I am not sure I am any wiser as I get older but I know who I am and I know there is love and strength here on this place. Good and bad and the yin and yang of life.

Do You recognise this nest above?

The Oak Bay eagles are bigger now.

The Spunky nest.

Perhaps we are all on a dying planet that will once again wipe us all off and start again still with the hope of peace among mankind. Perhaps there will be a miracle and life can continue on this beautiful blue planet. I don't know the outcome for myself and I do not know the outcome for this ship we are all on together. If it sinks we all go down with it. I cannot understand for my life why we are more involved in destroying everything on our spaceship earth rather than trying to fix it. Do we really think someone else will fix us?

The baby owls are starting to branch out. Momma is hiding them.

This is momma below.

  1. Great bird shots especially the eagles and Owls and I loved the videos especially the woodpecker.

  2. Wonderful blog. I love your bird pictures. especially the Lazuli Bunting. He is like no other bird I have seen. Actually I like them all.

  3. Wonderful isn't it... I hope, very intensly so, that we will all be able to see and enjoy sights like these... but I worry, polution and bad people … they frightnen me

    Have a splendid, ♥-warming ABC-Wednes-day / -week

  4. So glad you're still here! Thank you for your wonderful shots.

  5. Of course I recognized the Spunky nest. What British Columbian (even one living in Alberta) could see it and not think of 'our' Spunky?
I loved the Lazuli Bunting...a new bird to me...and of course BC's own Steller's Jay.
I agree wholeheartedly that humanity is destroying our planet. I rant and rave, but feel so helpless.
However, right now I'm thinking of you, and why you think you're not long for this world. Whatever did that doctor say? And why? I know, we've never met and it's none of my business, but all my protective big-sister instincts are riled up, and that makes me feel helpless as well. As one Spunky-mom to another, I am praying for you.

  6. Awesome Eagle shots and other feathered friends! Beautiful!

    Happy Week to you,
    C & Z

  7. This year we had a large group of Steller's Jays come to the cabin. I got a picture of five of them at once, but only a pair hung around for a while. Last year a single jay made a mess of my hanging bird feeders. He would swing on them as he ate and throw all of the seeds out into the water of the lake below, leaving the little birds no food. I haven't seen any jays (or heard them nearby in the forest) so I may take a change and put one feeder out to see if they leave it alone. - Margy

  8. Beautiful Nora, thank you. Spunky is watching out for you. ❤️

  9. Fabulous pics!The owl caught my eye!Hugs!

  10. I'm glad to see you are still here Nora!
Really nice photos. Liked the videos also. Those guys were really enjoying that wind.

  11. Dare I say it? Half-grown eagles are down-right ugly! Soon though, they will look majestic.
I really like your fence picture, very pretty. I really appreciate all your photos. You are making our world a sweeter place with all your posts.

  12. Hey Nora! I'm glad you're here, too. Big hugs to you and a pat to your camera. :-)

  13. Hi Nora, I second Kay Davies comment exceptI am not in Vancouver but I remember Spunkies nest thanks to the wonderful coverage.
What did the doctor say? Please don't leave us in suspense. Did he say you are in a holding pattern for now? I care about you! ♡
I pray you are sleeping well and the doctor had good news for you.
Wonderful photos you posted too. I learned of of birds I didn't know about before. Thank you.

  14. Your blog is full of the most important things in life, love and the beauty of the natural world around us. None of us know how long we will be walking this Earth and enjoying what it has to offer but you inspire me to live everyday with joy in my heart. Look forward to your next post.

  15. Wonderful bird shots. Love the lazuli bunting and especially the eagles.

  16. Stellar J looks like a proud fella, also love the baby owls.

  17. Baby looks worried but that Mamma ain't.... get moving!

  18. I agree with Kay - none of our business, but I found your post equal parts alarming and beautiful. I do hope you are with us for a very long time and can continue to share the earth's treasures. We must not despair and continue to work on convincing all that we need to preserve our 'ship'. I hope you have a healthy and blessed weekend.

  19. The eagle and owl photos are wonderful and I love that you saw a mink! Beautiful nature. We can only do our best ... and hope.

  20. And I'm VERY glad you're still here!

  21. Very happy you’re still here Nora ❤️
