Summer Weekend Post

Just a few photos from the past week.

We met a cowboy on Weirs Beach and we returned to see Paul Lewis's Beach art at Esquimalt Lagoon below.

We enjoyed the gardens at Beacon Hill Park below.

The flowers are in their prime now.

We love to go to Michell's Farm Store and the corn is so good this year.

We went to The Roost Cafe and I see reflections on the pie shelf.

Also they  have a little bus outside to eat in and it has nice reflections also on the roof!  And more reflections in this case below. The driver of the bus is a rooster!

They are growing a big pumpkin there.

They grow grapes and make really tasty wine there.

We went out and picked blackberries to freeze for winter days.

I went to visit where the soul of my beloved baby owl Woody rests in these lovely woods.
I did not see the mom owl Josie or the Dad, Mister. I can't seem to fix my broken heart. The trees are stressed out as we have had no rain for two months and the leaves are falling from the trees being so stressed out. Hope we get a big rain soon as we have so many fires in our Province as well.

On Facebook you can see my Island Rambles Page where I post frequently. I have over 300 videos on my Island Rambles YouTube Channel also. My Instagram is here. You can find me on Twitter here.

  1. Those fires are serious business. I looked at a map recently and it looks like the whole province is on fire. This may be the new norm unfortunately.

  14. The cowboy and the beach art are amazing! And those perfect flowers. And I would absolutely love to eat in that bus (we eat in a small RV -- our own -- when we go 'camping' these days but it isn't anywhere near as charming as that bus!!!) It's very dry here too -- when we went to the Coast it seemed better but here a little ways inland, it is terrible. We need rain so badly.
