Exciting Start to June

We are having an exciting start to June.......

Above is the sunset reflecting at the lake nearby us.

Then out at Aylard Farm in East Sooke Park we saw this strange cloud formation.

A few Black and Whites ....the baby owls before they fledged this year at the park. Josie the Mom had three babies this year.

The Barn Swallows are all nesting and we have so many of them I am happy to see.

To brighten up your day here are some pink florals.

I was wandering way out in the woods up on the Malahat and heard a noise and was hoping it was not a bear.....it was just a deer!

Here is Josie the Mom owl kissing her baby, I think this baby is called Teddy as he looks like a Teddy Bear.

A Peacock in the park.

A Field Crescent Butterfly on a daisy.

A MacGillivray's Warbler about to fly away.

And the Really Really Big exciting news is that there is an eagles nest in Redding, California that has a baby hawk in it just like our Spunky hawk that was raised in an eagles nest in Sidney, B.C. in 2017!

These are pictures of Spunky the hawk as I am not sure I can use pictures or video from the Redding, California nest as I don't know those people, but I am really really excited!

This is a link to the lady who is making videos of the hawklet in the eagles nest in Redding, California....there is a Facebook page about the eagles here also.

On Facebook you can see my Island Rambles Page where I post frequently. I have over 300 videos on my Island Rambles YouTube Channel also. My Instagram is here. You can find me on Twitter here.
