Birding is wonderful right now on Vancouver Island.....even an eagle came to sit above me....
We have seen Tanagers and Black Headed Grosbeaks.
We even have seen the Pileated woodpeckers this year.
These little Creepers are hard to see but the Mom was still feeding them.
The parents are still feeding the Barn Swallow babies.
We have so many Dragonflies and a few Butterflies also.
The usual Robins and the deer are always around making me so happy.
The sad news is that most of the eagle nests I would so happily visit are empty this year. For some reason many of the nests have failed to raise young.
On Facebook you can see my Island Rambles Page where I post frequently. I have over 300 videos on my Island Rambles YouTube Channel also. My Instagram is here. You can find me on Twitter here.

What a delightful post and I loved the videos. I am so glad you are seeing so many birds and such a variety of them and sorry to hear the eagles have no young this year. I have been away in Scotland at my sister's (so no commenting) and just about to go away again for 2 more weeks! But thanks for all your comments. Well life is short and I am making the most of it
ReplyDeleteFabulous nature shots.
ReplyDeleteThese are wonderful images! How lovely to see the baby birds being fed as well as the other wonderful creatures!
ReplyDeleteGood morning Nora: It is very encouraging to see the pictures of the young birds, especially the Brown Creeper fledglings. I think that half the creeper nests I have ever found have been on Vancouver Island, but I have never seen fledged young like this. They really do camouflage well against the bark. Thanks too for the videos.
ReplyDeleteYou are so in tune with the wildlife around you.
ReplyDeleteI hope somebody figures out why the eagles are not raising young there.
Beautiful photos!
ReplyDeleteAmazing pictures!Have a great day!Hugs!
